III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection of the Ohio Creek Coal Mine #2 for the month of April, 1999.
Hydrologic Balance: The site is well vegetated and very stable. Some snow still remains onsite
but will be gone soon. The pond had a very small pool of water in it but was not discharging.
The pond is vegetated and appears to be very stable.
General Mine Compliance: The site has some game trails that are fairly established that could
possibly erode due to thunderstorms. These trails may need some sort of reclamation work and
should be monitored at each inspection.
Reclamation Success: The site appears stable and requires little action as far as reclamation is
concerned.
