III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence
supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection of the Blue Flame Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division
of Minerals and Geology. Prior to May 2004 DMG had last conducted reclamation on this site in May 1993. In
May 2004, DMG had a subsidence feature at the top of the portal azea regraded and a diversion ditch was
excavated around the regraded area.
Patches of snow covered part of the site.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE
There are no ponds or ditches on the site. There is no evidence of excessive erosion occurring on the site.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE
The site appears as it did when I last inspected it in December 2005 (Tom Gillis has done a partial inspection
since then). No slope stability, erosion, or subsidence problems were evident.
REVEGETATION
The site has a good cover of grasses, fortis, and woody shrubs
