III. Comments/Compliance
This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on December 7, 2005.
Weather was sunny and clear, with a temperature reported in Walden of 17 below zero. The
mine site was deserted and quiet.
There was 4-5 inches of snow on the main mine site. The road was snow-covered with
drifts, but the ground was frozen under the snow and the road was passable.
Pond E was ice-covered with drifted snow. The dam was stable.
Pond F appeared had some ice beneath the snow. The dam was stable.
Pond G was dry. The dam was stable there, also.
The sign at the entry does not reflect the current location of the records. This needs to be
up-dated. The gate was locked and secure.
The Pit 1 area was stable, with no erosion visible. Vegetation was visible through the snow.
Signs on the topsoil piles for ponds F and G were not found and appear to have been
knocked down. Please erect the topsoil signs again on these remaining piles.
