Below are comments on the fnspection. The comments irrdude diecueaion of observations made <br />during the irmpectlon. Comments also describe any enforoemant actions taken during the Inspection <br />and the facts or aviderrce supporthng the ertlorcement ectlon. <br />On April 14, 1988, William J. Carter from the Division of Minerals and Geology, axompanted by Tom <br />Anderson, representing O~ow Mining, Inc., performed a pertlel irrepedlon of the Sanborn Creek <br />Mine. Due to the weather conditions and the conditlon of the Delta Courriy road up Hubbard Creek, <br />this site along wtih 1ha Bear Creek site was not safe 1p review. During the Inspection the weather <br />was variable with rain, snow, dowdy, dear and even foggy conditions at various times. <br />Contimre the replacement of signs (with the changes in ownership) as the sites become accessible. <br />Btetdta: <br />• All roads at fire Sanborn Creek site were instable condition. <br />• The road up Bear Creek was muddy and unsafe for travel at the time of this inspection. <br />• The Delta County road up Hubbard Creels was not passable due to rock and mud slides. <br />• Rrmoff from const<uctioa continues to be dvected into the appropriate sedimentation pa~nds. <br />• Paced A ccntains water that is approximately one foot below the primary discharge point. <br />• Pond B contains water but is still well below the 1~rY ~~Be 1~~• <br />• The east yard pond remains dry at the time of this inspection. <br />• The mine pond continues to discharge clear water. <br />• the substation three sedimentatiaa pond ccntains a small amount of water from the construction <br />of the new veatilatia~n shaft. <br />~ICL: <br />Corratrtrction Is continuing as per the perrnR revision. <br />
