(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ti+-~nn5_neg
INSPECTION DATE: ~~ ~~y~ ~(l05 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ~~
OBSERVATIONS
l . This was apre-operational inspection. A permit sign was apparently posted at the entrance gate
west of the property approximately 1 /2 mile from the permit area. A fence on the north side and t-
posts at each corner mark the boundary lines and corners.
2. The proposed mining area will mine a rare upland alluvial gravel deposit composed of sand, fairly
coarse gravel, and small boulders above a resistant limestone or sandstone ledge. Mining is to
proceed southward along part of two spurs extending northward into the east-west valley below.
The south boundary is to abut the E-W railroad right of way. Operators were cautioned to post a
more substantial boundary line on the south side to help keep excavators from entering the R/R
R.O.W. Topsoil will be stored on the east edge of the permit and reclamation will proceed
concurrently with mining.
3. An access road will be extended from an existing gravel pit west of the proposed permit area. Parts
of the roadway will fill depressions and may need culverts.
4. Operations will run adjacent to the E-W property fence with minimal setback. A damage
agreement to repair damages to the fence is part of the mining lease agreement with the
landowner.
5. No mining problems are foreseen with the proposed plan.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Don Blake
OPERATOR: Lincoln County
STREET: P.O Rnx 39
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Hugn_ C(7 AOR91
cc: t CE
I' BL
r FS
I' H W
I' HMWMD (CH)
I' SE
I' WQCD jCH)
I' OTHER
