III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Coal Gulch Mine for the month of March, 2000. The site is covered <br />with approximately 6-10 inches of snow. <br />Hydrologic Balance: The pond had water in it but was not discharging. The primary spillway is covered <br />with fill material and is no longer functional. The upper area's low spot is under snow and water which <br />can only dissipate by evaporation and/or seeping into the ground. <br />Reclamation Success: The site vegetation could not be inspected at this time. <br />General Mine Comaliance: Firehawk Construction Company continues to store equipment and materials <br />outside the 1.03 acres that belongs to them. <br />
