III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Chimney Rock Coal Mine for the month of May, 1996. <br />The site was dry with no signs of any recent rain. <br />The approximate .5 acre area on the southeast facing slope, above the Stolsteimer Creek repair <br />that was reseeded and mulched still appears to be stable. <br />All ditches are clear and appear to be capable of functioning as designed. All slopes and <br />contour furrows appear to be stable at the time of the inspection. <br />All ponds and the sediment trap were dry and stable. <br />
