''.'N <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of Ilse site aT the request of the operator. The Bile used to be <br />large 112 sand and gravel operation that is undergoing reclamation. As reported earlier, a portion of the permit <br />area has been released to Colorado State Parks with MLRD BOARD APPROVAL. Prior to reclaim the west side pit. <br />the operator is approved to construct a clay lined dam along the East side paralleling the Arkansas river to <br />restrict flow born the river so the pit can tie dry for reclamation. Operator had requested several extensions to <br />complete the task and they linolly achieved the task and wanted DMG to look at the property before the final <br />recatamlion commences. Prior to Commencing recalamtion the Colorado State Engineer will conduct the leak <br />down test to make sure the dam was constructed In accordance with (heir approved plan. Once the testing is <br />complete. the reclamation of the pit Itoor will commence. <br />The entire pit area was inspected there were no sign of leaks noted along the seated area, Topsoil has been <br />placed along the entire embankment and slopes appeared fo be 3:1 or gentler.
