III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Trinidad Basin Mine for the month ofAugust. The permit <br />was revoked and the bond was forfeit at this site. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: The site has experienced rain recently and the vegetation is doing <br />well. Ponds 15-P1, 15-P11 and 15-P12,had water in them but were not discharging, all other <br />pods were dry. Pond 15-P1 is very close to being silted in and should be cleaned. <br />ROADS: The access road to the upper ponds has degraded and either needs to be repaired or <br />reclaimed. The road ditch is experiencing some severe downcutting. <br />
