The aerial photograph was reviewed <br />on February 3, 199$. h*o problems had been observed during the flight. <br />Snow cover was variable azound the mine site. The West A4ine was snow covered wrote the <br />highway loadout and stockpile areas were largely free of snow. The main mine site facilities <br />azeas were only partially snow covered. The area around ponds 1 through 4 was snow <br />covered. <br />Ponds 1, 2, 3, 4, the West Ridge waste pile pond and the West Portal pond were all snow <br />covered. The highway stockpile pond was ice covered. No problems were observed with <br />embankments or spillways. No discharges were evident. <br />The mine is not operating at the present time. Bowie No. 1 coal has been stockpiled at the <br />highway stockpile, at the highway loadout and on the crusherlscreenerbenth. Only some <br />snow was on the crusher~screener bench. Essentially, there was no snow cover on the <br />highway coal stockpiles. The loadout is also being used to ship coal from Bowie No. 2. No <br />problems with fugitive dust or coal going offsite were observed. No problems with bench <br />stability were observed. <br />The main haul road and the access mad to fire office bench were clear and passable. Light <br />use roads were snow covered.
