VAT ) <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Carbon Junction Mine for the month of April,1999. <br />Hydrologic Balance: Both ponds appeared to be dry, well vegetated and capable of functioning <br />as designed. No signs of any problems with ditches or culverts were evident from the air. <br />Excess Spoil and Development Waste: Topsoiling of the waste pile is about to resume now that <br />the ground has dried out from the spring rain snow storms. <br />General Mine Compliance: There were no problems were noted during the inspection. <br />
