(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1999-018
INSPECTION DATE 09/20/2006 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG
OBSERVATIONS
This routine monitoring inspection of Permit Number M-1999-018 (Wagner Rock) was conducted by Deb E. Gonima of the
DRMS. Jay and Wayne Wagner of Wagner Construction were present during this inspection. The pit is located 5.5 miles from
Craig, CO, and currently consists of approximately 9.74 acres where approximately 5 acres have been disturbed.
Mine entrance signs and permit boundary markers are all in place, there were numerous material stockpiles on site, and the
topsoil stockpile iswell-vegetated and runs the length of the southern perimeter of the pit area. There appears to be no offsite
erosion, and no long-term (greater than 72 hours) water retention was observed. There was a substantial population of thistle
on the adjacent land to the south and east from the neighbor's crap land. As reclamation and reseeding have not yet
commenced on this portion of the permit area, this population of weeds is of little concern at this time. However, this is stated
as a reminder once reclamation begins that the permit area is a sink for the thistle population, rather than a source.
All activities and completed work at the time of this inspection appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the
state and the mining and reclamation plans for the pit, and no problems are noted for this site. The site is stable and no
disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries. For future reference, this site is correctly positioned in
the DRMS online GIS.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. Gbnima at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
Mr. Jay Wagner
WagnerConstruction, Inc.
96400 East Highway 40
CITY/STATE/ZIP Craig.
