(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: -AA-~ 980_2dd <br />INSPECTION DATE: x-a-a~ INSPECTORS INITIALS: -9K- <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a monitoring and construction progress inspection of the PHASE IV AREA ON 6-3-03. <br />Present during the inspection were, Mark Tidquist and Phil Barnes of CC&V. The inspection began around the <br />Phase IV pregnant solution collection area. Drain cover was being deployed at the time of the inspection, in <br />areas where the primary solution collection pipes were in place. The pipe connections to the lower caisson <br />were connected and a portion of the caisson pad was covered with drain cover. Clay and plastic liner were <br />being deployed in the ore collection areas of the Phase IV B. Golder associates QA/QC personnel were present <br />overseeing the different areas of deployment. <br />Inspected the Phase I AND II pregnant solution collection areas and recorded the following readings from the <br />high and low volume transducers. <br />Phase I low volume SOLUTION COLLECTION transducer # I WAS RECORDED AT .37 AND # II WAS AT .88. <br />PHASE II LOW VOLUME SOLUTION COLLECTION TRANSDUCER # 1 WAS RECORDED AT .06 # 2 TRANSDUCER WAS <br />BEING REPLACED AT THE TIME OF THE INSPECTION. Readings from the phase I, I High volume solution collection <br />transducer was not recorded at this time. <br />Phase II high volume solution collection transducer # 4 was recorded at 18.7 # 5 was at 11.3 and # 6 was at 17.9. <br />Inspected the under drain, both the 4 inch pipe and the south under drain were flowing at a trickle, the North <br />Under drain was dry. The water from the discharge was being pumped back on to the pad at the time of the <br />inspection. All the lower ponds including the surface water diversion sumps in the area were dry.
