III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the Inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments also <br />describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On April 21, 1999, William J. Carter, Dan Hernandez, and Joe Dudash from the Division of Minerals and Geology, pedormed a complete <br />inspection of Blue Ribbon Mine. The weather was clear and warm during this inspection. <br />After April 30, 1999 William J. Carter will retire, and at that time the Blue Ribbon Mine will become the responsibility of Jim Burnell. All <br />communications should be directed to Mr. Burnell. <br />Siens and Markers: <br />Both Identification signs contain the proper information as required. <br />Roads• <br />The County Road up Hubbard Creek was found to be in fair condition. Some rocks and debris is falling onto the road and <br />care should he taken especially during bad weather. <br />Hvdroloeic Balance: <br />Ponds # 3 and k 4 were found to be dry during this inspection. <br />Slides and Damaee: <br />No slides, slumps or other erosion was observed during this inspection. <br />Subsidence: <br />Others: <br />Weed Control: <br />It has been noted that the thistles in the area are now in the rosette stage. Control of these weeds should be considered before <br />bolting occurs. <br />
