III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This permit is in temporary cessation. The office building at the site is occupied. There is no coal <br />handling activity at this time. There has been some maintenance activity since the last inspection. <br />Hvdroloi?ic Balance <br />There was no discharge from Sedimentation Ponds 1 and 2. There was a small amount of water in both <br />ponds. There were no surface inflows to the ponds. <br />Backfill and Gradin¢ <br />Remaining backfilling and grading requirements are associated with long-term facilities. No <br />reclamation backfilling and grading have been accomplished at the site. <br />Support Facilities <br />The office building and trailer are occupied and are in good repair. Sedimentation ponds and ditches <br />are in good repair. Other structures are in disrepair. Some structures have been vandalized. Temporary <br />repairs have been made. <br />The inlet and dischazge areas of a number of culverts had been cleaned. However, additional <br />maintenance work is required at culvert LFC-2. <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />The site is in temporary cessation. No permitted work to covert the site from a coal rail load-out to a <br />coal rail load-in facility had been accomplished. <br />Reve etg ation <br />Remaining revegetation requirements aze associated with future reclamation of long-term facilities. No <br />reclamation revegetation has been accomplished at the site. <br />Air Resource Protection <br />The site is stable with regard to air protection. There is no dust-generating activity at the site. <br />Slides and DamaEe <br />There is an arrested slide, recorded in May 2000, at a cut on the railroad spur.
