(Page 2) <br />MINE LD # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1977-208 <br />INSPECTION DATE 03/20/07 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Lyons Quarry conducted by of the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The aerial photographs were taken on June 28, 2007. <br />The purpose of the aerial inspection was to assess the reclamation status of the C-Pit. <br />Backfilling of C-Pit began in March of 2007 as a means to reduce the area of exposed water <br />in the pit that is high in pH and Selenium. Only a small pond of water remains within the <br />C-Pit, approximately 1-2 acres in size. Recent discussions with CEMEX state that the <br />remaining pool of water in the C-Pit has been covered with a net to prevent birds and <br />wildlife from entering the surface. The netting could not be detected in the photographs. <br />Borrow sources were noted on the aerial photographs.
