III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Arness McGriffen Mine for the month of October, 1997 <br />Roads: The road to the site was extremely rutted and is becoming almost impassable. Vehicular <br />traffic is expected to increase considerably due to the approaching big game season and if any <br />moisture is present, the road will suffer. <br />Hydrologic Balance: Money is to become available soon and the creation of a drainage system <br />will be implemented at the earliest timeframe permissible <br />Reclamation Success: The site has reasonably good vegetation cover except where there was <br />continued 4-wheel taffic. Erosion on the reclaimed portion of the mine exsists but is not <br />excessive at this time. <br />
