III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Chimney Rock Mine for the month of November, 1996. <br />The mine has been totally reclaimed and has recently applied for a phase II bond release. <br />Records were inspected and with the exception of quarterly DNR's were found to be <br />satisfactory. See page 5 of this report for more details. <br />The site is stable and is ready for another winter. All ditches and culverts are clear and capable <br />of functioning as designed. No signs of any significant erosion is present. Ponds 2 and 3 had <br />about 6" of water in them from snow melt. All other ponds were dry. All the ponds are stable. <br />The only change from the norm was one of Mel Martinez's horses had managed to find its way <br />into the AVF area. <br />
