Vegetation sampling was conducted at the coal sales yard area on June 14'" Transect
starting points were laid out on a 30-meter grid. All other sampling methodology was
identical to the technique previously described. North-facing slope areas appeared to have
a better grass cover and more live production as compared to the portal/refuse area, which is
generally south-facing Recent evidence of grazing this season was not observed at the
tipple area and cattle were not observed on or adjacent to this area.

Reclamation Success
Both sites appear relatively stable even considering the limited amount of vegetative cover.
No sign of excessive erosion was noted at either location. Prior to terminating jurisdiction at
this site silt fence, mine signs, and various other debris should be removed from the site.
Overall, the areas inspected appeared in fair condition for the early summer season.
