III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was partial inspection conducted by Janet Binns of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. <br />The mine is reclaimed, with no facilities and no personnel remaining on site. The mine was an <br />underground mine. The mine site had received fresh snowfall the night before. The mine site was snow <br />covered with approximately 4-5 feet of snow along the roadway and against the metal office building. <br />Temperature conditions were cold <br />Roads: The County Road is plowed and snow packed. No rocks observed on the road. Snow was not <br />melting at the time of the inspection. The fence adjacent to the road is mostly snow covered. <br />Signs: Snow piles aze partly covering the northern Mine ID sign. <br />Hydroloeic Balance: The pond issnow-covered with no indication of water below the snow. Snow <br />machine tracks are present across the mine site. <br />Slides: No new rockfall was observed on the reclaimed mine bench or backfilled outslope.
