A site inspection of the Brand Pit was conducted as part of the Division's on-going 4-year inspection program. Present <br />during the inspection was Mr. Paul Like of Yuma County Road & Bridge Department. <br />2. The Brand Pit is an active pit with approximately 10 acres of surface disturbance. The operator is mining aggregate <br />resources in an easterly direction. The pit slopes in the northern portion of the permit area have been backfilled and <br />regarded to approximately 3:1 slopes. Available topsoil has been salvaged and stockpiled for use during final reclamation. <br />The site will ultimately be reclaimed to agriculture/rangeland. Photographs of the site are attached to this report. <br />3. Signs and boundary markers are in place. <br />4.
