The signs on the access <br />roads to the north intake and north fan had an <br />incorrect address. DMG has addressed this in. a NOV. <br />Perimeter Markers--Perimeter markers were not posted <br />around the disturbed area boundary. DMG has addressed <br />this in a NOV. <br />Topsoil Markers--Topsoil markers were posted. <br />Stream Course Buffer Markers--There was no protected <br />stream course shown in the mine plan, however during <br />the inspection it was determined that mining has <br />occurred within 100 feet of the Purgatory River. This <br />disturbance is in the area of the river intake <br />impoundments which were constructed to facilitate <br />mining although not identified in the mine plan. <br />Markers should be placed in this area and any other <br />area along the river where the disturbed area boundary <br />comes within 100 feet of the river. DMG has issued a <br />NOV for failure to post the markers. <br />HYDROLOGIC SYSTEM <br />Drainage Control: Numerous diversions, ditches and culverts <br />located on the mine have not been maintained.
