I. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
du n ng the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology. This site is entirely reclaimed, with a total reclaimed area of
about seven acres. Ground conditions on this day were dry and the weather was mild.
Hydrologic Balance
The sediment pond was in good condition and was dry. Engleville Gulch was also dry.
Revegetation
The reclaimed area is very dry due to the extended drought in the region. Evidence
that cattle had been fed hay on the light use road near the gate was noted. No cattle
were present inside the fence that surrounds the reclaimed area. The vegetation does
not appear overgrazed. Rain or snow would be of great benefit prior to the onset of
winter conditions.
Slides and Damage
The small subsidence feature repaired last year shows no sign of settlement or further
collapse.
Overall the site appeared in good condition for early fall.
Page 3
