~ III IIIIIIIIIIIII III ,~ ti ~
tIL~ ~,
October 12, 1994

Mr. Gary Curtiss OC71 ~ 1994
State of Colorado ~,.,,.-,. .. ,..~.
Division of Minerals and Geology ..~•; , _. -; _ ~L~Gy
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Gary:
This letter is intended to address Item #1 of your inspection report dated
September 29, 1994 with regard to the concrete batch plant located outside the permit
boundary area.
We concur that the concrete batch plant, currently under construction, is outside
the mining area. It is located on a separate parcel of land (see enclosed survey) and
has been separately permitted by the City of Brighton. It will operate separately from
our aggregate processing plant in the manufacture of concrete. We will supply
material to the plant from both our mine and outside sources. It may operate or cease
to operate completely independent of our mining operation based strictly on the
market demand in the Brighton area. Reclamation on the aggregate facility will remain
as per our permit. Because of this operational independence, we do not want the
current permitted concrete plant on the mine site to be affected.
Sincerely,
F.P. ;' hip" Spratlen IV
P sident
Enclosure
4395 WASHINGTON
P.O.
