_' • ( Page 2 ) • <br />MINE ID $ OR PROSPECTING ID ~ M-88-048 <br />INSPECTION DATE 2 2 96 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The following observations were made on a routine inspection of the site, which is being <br />actively mined and reclaimed at this time. <br />1. Signs and markers were all in place and easily visible. <br />2. This site has a policy of cut-and-fill as mining progresses, due to the shallowness of <br />the mineral deposit. Thus, the disturbance was no more than the 108.8 acres allowed in the <br />permit. <br />3. Topsoil was stockpiled in convenient Locations, and seeded for long-term storage. <br />4. Grading of mined areas is adequate, with revegetation begun on several portions of the <br />Bite. The vegetation appears to be consistent with that specified in the reclamation plan. <br />5. Stormwater berme are sized to catch sizable storm runoff and to allow for percolation <br />down into the groundwater.
