The main purpose of the inspection <br />was to discuss the pending Technical Revision that will be submitted to the Division to remove the non <br />functional vibrating wire piezometers from the application and other minor added affected acreage to the <br />permit. Prior to the discussion, a brief site inspection of the crusher area was conducted to evaluate storm <br />water drainage in the area, no problem noted. <br />After the inspection as requested by the Division during the Amendment # 8 approval, to submit a TR to <br />remove the non functioning wire piezometers from the application, CC&V explained the reasons why the <br />readings from these wire piezometers were not accurate and do not appear to reflect actual field <br />conditions. The Division had concurred with that evaluation during the Amendment #8 approval process. <br />The briefing on 6-19-O1 was to discuss what was going to be included in the Technical Revision that will be <br />submitted, next week. <br />After the meeting with CC&V, met with Mrs. Karen Morrison of Victor, regarding blasting issues she had <br />raised the past few months with CC&V and the letter addressed to the Division dated 6-14-03. She was <br />informed that to date, CC&V had not exceeded the blasting guidelines set by the Board for the operation. <br />She wanted to know what liabilities CCB:V would have if they damage property in Victor due to blasting. She <br />was informed that if she can demonstrate the damage to her property was due to blasting by CC&V's mining <br />operation, CC&V will be required to mitigate the damage. She also wanted to see the pre blast survey <br />viedeo conducted by CC&V and seismic monitoring data collected to date.
