III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the rnspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the New Horizon Mine for the month of September, 2000. The purpose <br />of this inspection is to conduct normal operations and environmental compliance. <br />ROADS: All roads appear to be in excellent condition. The detour road is complete and function well. <br />No written complauits have been received about the detour. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Mlne 1: Ponds 1 and 6 had water in them but only 1 appeared to be <br />_ _- - <br />discharging as normal, all other ponds were dry. All ditches and culverts seem to be functioning as <br />designed Mlne 2: Pond 7 has water in it and Pond 8 is under construction as the pit rs currently being <br />reclauned <br />BACKFILL & GRADING: B & G was in progress as is normal. No problems were noted. <br />TOPSOIL: The site s laying down this seasons topsoil campaign and all appears well. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE The 86 road detour appears to be in use and no problems could <br />be identdied from the air. The CC Ditch replacement HDPE pipe was under construction at this time <br />to be hi pace prior to Ih~s springs irrigation season. <br />
