;~ <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Chimney Rock Coal Mine for the month of September, <br />1996. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: The site was dry with no signs of any recent rain. All ponds were <br />dry and stable. All ditches and culverts were inspected and found to be clean and capable of <br />functioning as designed. <br />Contour furrows all appear to be functioning as designed and only minor rills have formed on <br />some of the outslopes. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS: The site experienced some moisture recently but due to the lack of <br />much rainfall this season, very little new vegetative growth is in evidence. <br />
