(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1983-052 <br />INSPECTION DATE 0911912006 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG <br />This routine monitoring inspection of Permit Number M-1983-052 (Joker Mine) was wnducted by Deb E. G6nima of the DRMS. <br />No representative from Mining and Minerals, Ltd. was present during this inspection. The pit is located approximately 25 miles <br />northwest of Craig, CO and currently consists of approximately 77 permitted acres where approximately 0 acres are currently <br />disturbed. <br />The permit boundary markers were in place and well-marked, and all activities and completed work at the time of inspection <br />appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the state and the mining and reclamation plans for the pit. <br />Therefore, no additional problems are noted for this site. The site is stable, there appears to be no offsite erosion, and no <br />disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries. <br />The Office of State Engineer (OSE) has been contacted to ensure regulatory compliance, due to the fact that long-term (greater <br />than 72 hours) water retention was observed in the southernmost pond. Concurrence with the Division's decision to release this <br />site has been sough and reached with both the BLM and OSE. Therefore, it is the determination of DRMS that final Surety <br />Release request is approved for Mining and Minerals, Ltd. Permit Number M-1983-052. <br />Notice of this determination will be sent under separate cover. <br />As a final note for future reference, this site is correctly positioned in the DRMS online GIS. <br />Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E.
