The ditch appears to catch water coming down some <br />of the area draws and through the use of siphon tubes irrigates the alfalfa <br />fields. (The actual source of the water for this ditch is not known). <br />There are some excavations into the hillside toward the <br />center of the permit area and again at the westem edge of <br />the permit area. None look recent, but revegeation had not <br />lakes hold. <br />There is an unlined irrigation ditch along the westem third of <br />the permit area. The ditch starts off more like a trench that <br />may intercept ground water draining off the terrace and <br />associated draws, and lakes the water Into the alfalfa fields. <br />There is Tamarisk growing in this ditch. <br />The access road al the west end of the mine site.
