c ~ . • <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This partial inspection of the Blue Flame Coal Mine was conducted by DMG staff from <br />the Durango Office, 701 Camino Del Rio, Room 125, Durango, CO 81301, phone (970) <br />247-5469. The permit for the Blue Flame Coal Mine was revoked over 5 years ago. <br />Financial warranty was forfeited and utilized for final reclamation. No activities were <br />observed, no personnel encountered during the time of this inspection. <br />No significant changes were observed since the last inspection. Snow cover, <br />approximately 3" depth, covered the permit area. Tracks of deer and rabbit were <br />observed in the snow cover. Mine access roads have remained to provide access to <br />adjacent agricultural fields. Russian knapweed was well established on the access <br />road. Backfilled and graded areas appeared stable, evidence of slope failure, slope <br />movement or excessive erosion was not observed. Reclamation vegetation was well <br />established. <br />
