The operator has posted a Permit ID sign and marked the <br />permit area. The new pit has been opened up, topsoil has been stripped and stockpiled and a large amount of <br />overburden has been stored near the northwest corner of the permit area. At the time of the inspection it appeared that <br />some of the overburden material may have been placed close to the permit boundary, but the operator subsequently <br />remeasured the permit area and discovered that the corner markers had not been properly placed. With the replacement <br />of the markers the operator now has more room to operate within the remarked permit area.
