(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_~gR~_ni~
INSPECTION DATE: ~ L-IR-nS INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: ~DO_
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was for the purpose of monitoring Lincoln County's compliance with the permit, as amended in
2001, the regulations and the Act. Don Blake accompanied me on the inspection.
The required permit identifying sign shows the name of the operation as being the "Covington Pit" ;however,
the permit number on the sign is correct. The Division record lists the operation name as being the "County Line
Pit." Please change the sign to show the name of record for the operation or inform the Division that you wish
to change the name. The permit boundary markers are properly placed.
This is a dry creek bed operation located in the streambed of Vega Creek. Material is stockpiled on the creek
bank. The mining related disturbances are within the permit boundary.
This operation is just north of and adjacent to a permit belonging to Lafarge West, Inc. Mr. Blake informed me
that the County is using up stockpiles of material from the Lafarge operation.
Other than the concern about the sign there are no problems at this permit area.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Don Blake
OPERATOR: Lincoln Counf~
STREET: P C) Rox 39
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Hugo, c~ anR~i
Cc: Harry Posey- DMG via e-mail
