Another settlement crack was observed about 100 feet below <br />the road, toward the southern end of the release area, running <br />parallel to the contour. This is in the vicinity of the eastern <br />end wall of the Moffat pit. Sections of this crack had a <br />vertical displacement, indicating that the crack is a result of <br />backfill settlement along the end wall. The operator will blade <br />this crack system to prevent additional entry of water. <br />No final decision will be made by Colo DMG, or concurred <br />with by OSM, until the NOV is abated, public notices are checked, <br />and the settlement crack along the east endwall is bladed. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
