(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-t481-75Fi
INSPECTION DATE: ro/n3m5 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: TAS
1. A site inspection of the Eckberg Pit was conducted as part of the Division's on-going 4-year inspection program.
Present during the inspection was Mr. Paul Like of Yuma County Road & Bridge Department.
2. The Eckberg Pit has been reclaimed to agriculture/rangeland via backfilling and grading, topsoiling, and re-vegetation.
There is a minor amount of rill erosion within the permitted area; however, the entire surrounding area exhibits rill
erosion similar in extent. It is possible that the Division could release this pit from further reclamation responsibility upon
request and proper notification by the County, per Rule 4.17.1, within 60 days of receipt of this report (April 20, 2005).
Such release request will have to include a signed and notarized letter from the landowner stating that he is satisfied with
the reclamation as it is now and will not hold the Division or the operator liable for any further reclamation requirements.
In the absence of such signed and notarized letter from the landowner, the operator will need to provide an effective
erosion control plan for the Eckberg Pit in the form of a technical revision to the permit, and complete such plan in order
to achieve a release from further reclamation responsibility. Please see attached copy of Rule 4.17.1. Digital photographs
of the Eckberg Pit are also attached to this report.
3. Signs and boundary markers are in place.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Mr. Paul Like
OPERATOR: Yuma CountiL
STREET: 13]0 S.
