(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1998-103
INSPECTION DATE 10/25/2006 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG
OBSERVATIONS
This routine monitoring inspection of Permit Number M-1998-103 (Patty's Pit) was conducted by Deb E. Gbnima of the DRMS.
Dave Stone, Public Works Director for the Town of Limon was present during this inspection. The pit is located 6 miles
southeast of Limon; north of Highway 24, and currently consists of approximately 9.B acres where approximately 9.8 acres
have been disturbed.
Mine entrance signs and permit boundary markers are all in place, and the topsoil stockpile runs along the mine access road to
the east of the active pit area. A fenceline running along the northern perimeter and permit boundary stakes at the corners
denote the permit boundaries. All activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to follow the guidelines and
regulations set forth by the state and the mining and reclamation plans for the pit, and no problems are noted for this site. The
site is stable and no disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries. For future reference, this site is
correctly positioned in the DRMS online GIS.
Mr. Stone expressed an interest in the possible conversion of this operation from a 110c to a 112c operation, by expanding the
current operation to the east. This inspector committed to providing Mr. Stone with the necessary information from the DRMS
website for his information. This is the website that contains the 112c application package:
ham://mining.state.co.us/Mineral%20Forms.htm -look under"Construction Material Regular 112 Operation Reclamation Permit
Application Package for the information necessary to submit a conversion package. Also included with this inspection report is
a copy of the requested fees list.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. Gbnima at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Mr. Dave Stone ^ BL
OPERATOR Public Works Director -Town of Limon ^ Fg
STREET P.O.
