L <br />• <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action, <br />This partial inspection of the Blue Flame Coal Mine was conducted by Wally Erickson <br />from the DMG Durango office, 484 Turner Drive, Building F, Suite 101, Durango, CO <br />81301, phone (970) 247-5193. The permit for the Blue Flame Coal Mine was revoked. <br />Financial warranty was forfeited and utilized for final reclamation of the site. <br />Reclaimed areas were well vegetated and stable. Access road has remained for access <br />to agricultural fields and fence maintenance. Road was stable, road side drainage <br />ditches were well vegetated and stable. Evidence of minor traffic was observed on <br />access road. Evidence of wildlife activity within reclaimed areas was observed. <br />Noxious weeds were established along the access road. Russian knapweed, Canada <br />thistle and Burdock were observed. Russian knapweed infestation has progressed from <br />access road into portions of the reclaimed haul road. Burdock infestation was limited to <br />single location near reclaimed haul road. <br />
