Y <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of.observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete Inspection of the La Plata Coal Mine for the month of March, 1 999. The <br />site remains much as it has for the past few months. Snow is virtually gone from the site and <br />vegetation is starting to turn green. <br />ROADS: The reclaimed roads have good stands of vegetation on them and should be fairly <br />stable. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Vegetative growth is very good at this site therefore erosion is at a <br />minimum. No signs of any new erosion were noted at this time. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE: The overall condition of the mine is very stable. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS: Overall condition of the site is outstanding. It recommended that <br />bank personnel attend the next complete inspection to determine the status of the mine and <br />reclamation bond. <br />
