(WWL) as agent for Glenn Spring Holdings, Inc.(GSHI), property <br />manager for Occidental Oil Shale, Inc. (OOSI), received your mine inspection report for Logan Wash <br />Mine (Permit M-1977-424) on October 2vd. The ins ection was conducted o S tember Ix 2004. <br />The report states that a technical revision for stormwater control at a mine is to be prepared and <br />submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) by October 29th, 2004. <br />WWL requests a 3 month extension to prepare this technical revision. Due to ongoing reclamation <br />activities at the mine and other scheduled conflicts, W WL cannot begin prq~aration of the TR until late <br />November. As discussed with you previously, WWL intends to install interim stormwater control <br />structures at the mine site in the coming weeks, before the site is closed for the winter. These structures <br />include drainage channels and small berms on the mine benches, and toe ditches, water bars, and berms <br />on mine access roads. These structures will be consistent with planned permanent structures to be <br />presented in the TR. W WL is also in the process of repairing (backfilling) the larger erosional <br />drainages or gullies that developed at the site as a result of heavy precipitation on July 18`h, 2004. <br />Please consider this request and contact meat 242-0170 with any questions you may have. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~~. <br />Bruce D.
