The marker; are made of lath <br />painted orange on the top plus some markers are flagging tape in a tree. There are some <br />places where one marker cannot be seen from the next, rluq to dense shrubs, but Che boundary <br />is adequately defined. The operator was advised that corner markers would suffice for the <br />area above the mine (east) because of the extremely steep terrain. <br />4.05 Hydrologic Balance <br />1. The diversion ditch from the mine benc]r to sediment pond No. 2 was mostly repaired but <br />several large rocks which fell into the channel must Le rerrr~ved. <br />2. The culvert at the coal. stock pile area was clean but the inlet end was bent in. Nowever, <br />this should not affect the perfonriance of the culvert unless the inlet device is bent in <br />further. ' <br />3. A dewatering device was put into sediment pond No. 3. Tlri.s pond will be checked during <br />the July inspection to determine if it was built according to the approved plan. <br />4. The area on the north end of the mine bench has been regraded so that water should <br />drain properly. <br />4.12 Slides and Other Damage <br />Additional tension cracks were noted on the outslope of the mine bench. <br />9.15 Revegetation <br />The topsoil stockpile was recently seeded, and at this early stage, success appears to he <br />good. <br />
