Zack of the DRMS. Dale Huffman of Baca County was present during this inspection. The pit is located approximately
18 miles North of Pritchett, CO through approximately 2 miles of open range from the mine entrance, and currently consists of
approximately 9.4 acres where approximately 9 acres are currently disturbed.
The mine entrance sign was present, but knocked over and needs to be reinstalled, as does the northeastern permit boundary
marker (see Problem No. 1 on page 3). There are two topsoil stockpiles -one is located at the western perimeter of the active
pit area and the other is at the northeastern corner of the site. All activities and completed work at the time of inspection
appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the state and the mining and reclamation plans for the pit, and no
problems are noted for this site. The site is stable and no disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. Zack at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Mr. Troy Crane ^ BL
OPERATOR Baca County ^ FS
STREET 741 Main Street ^ Hytr
CITY/STATE/ZIP Springfield.
