A site inspection was made of the T.H.E. Aggregate Source Quarry located immediately west <br />of Canon City, along Tunnel Drive. <br />2. A site entrance sign was posted as required by Rule 3.1.12. <br />3. The operator is currently installing stormwater management controls along the existing <br />haul road corridor. Temporary drainage channels have been cut along both sides of the haul <br />road beginning immediately south of the office and continuing south to Tunnel Drive. The <br />operator has also installed three catchment basins along the haul road to increase the <br />detention storage of future stormwater runoff even though these structures ware not specified <br />in the current permit amendment application. The Division appreciates the initiative taken <br />by the operator to "go the extra mile" by installing these basins. <br />4. The spillway of Pond 2 has not been completed. Plans for completing the construction <br />were discussed. <br />5. Construction of Pond 3 has been completed. <br />6. Construction of Pond 4, Ponds 5-7, and the stormwater diversion ditch from Pond 1 to Pond <br />5 will begin following approval of the amendment application. <br />7. Pond i has been excavated. Construction of a spillway as well as :inlet and outlet <br />channels is expected to begin following approval of the amendment application. <br />8.
