Dear Mr. Scott, this is a summary of requests for information and additional questions developed during my review of blast
records for blasts on or about February 12, 2003, and reconstruction of those blasts from the records.
Query No. 1, a-mail, August 18, 2003, 10:31 AM, blast 2/12/03, spacing, loading table, and wet holes
Response No. 1, fax, August 18, 2003, 12:25, wet holes of 2112103 blast, no loading table, spacing indicated
Query No. 2, a-mail, August 18, 2003, 1:52 PM, reconciliation of recorded hole depths on drill reports
Query No. 3, a-mail, August 20, 2003. 7:57 AM, reconciliation of recorded hole depths on drill reports (re-transmission of
Query No. 1 due to computer problems)
Query No. 4, a-mail, August 20, 2003, 11:01 AM, preliminary blast analysis 2 12 03
Query No. 5, a-mail, August 20, 2003, 12:15 PM, preliminary blast analysis 2 12 03 revised
Query No. 6, a-mail, August 20, 2003, 3:15 PM, drill log and blast record correlation, blast of 3/19/03
Query No. 7, this e-mail. On the blasting report of 3/19/03, 488 350 ms delays are recorded as used (and there are 488
holes). What does the DIH - 600 ms notation at the bottom of the first page mean? Please identify any wet holes in this
blast, if any (i.e., are all the holes loaded with 25% HANFO 37.1?). Of the total 25% HANFO used, is 25% emulsion and
75% Bulk Anfo (confirmation of previous understanding)?
Please call me if you have any questions. Byron G. Walker, EPS
