Basil Bear <br />represented the operator. The weather was hot and dry. The area has not received much <br />precipitation since the last lrrspectlan, wlYch was two weeks ego. <br />~~. <br />t34AQi: <br />The operator is almost done adding the gravel road base for the haul road. The haul road was being <br />watered doing the inspection. The operator plans to pave the entire haul road before winter. Along <br />with paving the haul road, guard rails will be installed ratl-4r than berms. For now, the operator will <br />nal be !wilding the corrveyor beN and the truck loadoul . 'Mierefare, the truck loadout haul road wiN <br />not tie fwik yet. The access road to the office is not done yet. The operator is Instating a water Yne, <br />which nns along the north side of this road. Once the road is completed, a road bean must be <br />provided along that south side of this road. <br />Several slope measurertrerts were made along the steeper portions of the haul road, in order to <br />check for cornjrrance with haul road grade requirements. Haul road station bcatlons were taken <br />irorrr Drawing fVurrlber 52-1-012, suet 2 oT 4, in Vokme V of the perrNt apptcation. From station <br />68+00 to stator 87+50, which is approbmately between the inlet of cuMert GC9 to the inlet of culvert <br />GB7, the degree of slope for tl~at sector of the haul road was measured as 8 degroes (10.5 <br />percent). A degree of slope of 5.5 degroes (9.5 percent) wis measured for the section of haul road <br />from statlon 78+00 to station 79+50, which is bcated between culvert GC8 and the inlet of G88. <br />Several haul road fit slope gradients were also measured. The outslops of the haul road fit at station <br />50+50 was measured as 24.5 degrees (2.2H:1 V). This bcatlon is alwut 100 feet south of the outlet <br />of culvert C-C9. The slope of the haul road fir thst ties between station 52+00 to 81+00, which is <br />about 100 feet west of the louver section of culvert GC9, was about 28.5 degrees (2H:1V). A slope of <br />27 deQees (about 2H:iV) was measured for the fit at stator 72+00, which is located about 100 fed <br />west of culvert C-C8. Finery, the outslope of tta portal bench fir, above stator 77+50 and atwut 100 <br />feet west of culvert GCS, was measured as 28 degrees (a Ittle less than 2.1 H:1 V). <br />The operator has graded a new 100 foot long rght use road section that comeets the haul road to <br />tl-s pro-axfstnp rght use road. This is bcated at haul road station 84+75, which is about 50 feet east <br />or the INet to aivert GC9. K the operator intends to use tNs road as the entry onto the rgr,t use <br />road, than this should tie pemitled into the pemrit apprcetlon. <br />At the entrance to the mne eke, three haul road dtch slk fences need to be rotronched. <br />Bscaua corutnictlon of the surface faciitles has not been completed yet, ewers! drlverts and <br />dtches have yd to be instated. These inckrde cuNarts GB1, GB15, GB17, GB18, GC1, GC2, G <br />C3, GC4, GCS, GC71, GD1 and GE1and ditches D•B73, D-817 (the bottom 200 fed), aB22, D- <br />B25, aB27, and QE1. tl is important that aiveYt GD7 be Irutated very soon, since the culvert is <br />needed to property drain ditch D-Di. TTree culverts and one dkch are not going to lx instated due to <br />canstnxtion decidons in the field. These culverts are GB5, G812 and GB13. The ditch is o-B19. <br />Because the portal bench plan Is Using rovlsed, ttase culverts and dkcMs assodated with the portal <br />bench and the crusNngf screening bench have not Veen Instated.
