Grasses seem to be covered up <br />with overburden due to expansion of that dike. Operator should experiment with other <br />grass mixes such as that recommended by the SCS on their application to determine <br />that these mixes would do better on this site. Vegetation problem mainly due to the <br />high alkaline of the soils. Weeds could be a problem on this site during final <br />reclamation. <br />Problems <br />No real problem <br />General site description <br />Recommendations <br />Operator should be aware that he is required to <br />topsoil revegtate non-pond area. Also gravel is <br />stockpiled along the site,this is not shown on the <br />map, should be stated in his forthcoming annual <br />reports. <br />Mr. Frank Coffman time and cooperation during my inspection was appreciated. <br />Footnote: They are planning to expand their commerical development area by back- <br />filling in a larger portion some of this pre-law pond.
