III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Arness McGriffin Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. <br />The permit for this mine was revoked more than 10 yeazs ago. The site was reclaimed by IML in April <br />1990. <br />A few inches of snow was on the ground. <br />Roads <br />Vehicle access from Hwy. 160 into the Arness McGriffin site was blocked with a cable. <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />No problems were evident at the Arness McGriffin site. <br />Reveeetation <br />The former portal bench area has fairly good grass cover. <br />
