COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals
and Geology (Division) on Wednesday July 27, 2005. Kent Gorham of the Division reviewed
seven oblique aerial photographs in the office on August 1.2005.
Hydrologic_E3alance
Standing water in ponds, containments, and small depressions appeared to indicate
significant rainfall within 24-48 hours preceding the flight Water was noted in ponds 6, 7 and
8, and also clearly visible in the three RDA conveyor containments near Highway 12. Also
visible was a small sump hole in the northwest corner of pond 8 The operator has
apparently started to clean the sediment from this pond, although recent runoff appears to
have slowed this activity.
x
~.
~__ ~ -~
. ..
-- s.
•~ i •_
~ _ ~~~..`w~ri..
>~ ~. i - ....
