The area was well vegetated. The eastern edge of the mine #3
portal area, where runoff from the subdrainage channel had flattened vegetation and
produced some erosion last year, has not gotten worse.
The reclaimed area above reclaimed pond P-2 showed no signs of slope instability.
There were no problems observed at reclaimed ponds P-1, P-2, P-3, P-4, P-5, P-6, P-7 and
P-8 except that very little or no vegetation has taken hold on the reclaimed pond locations
yet.
There were no erosional problems at the reclaimed waste pile. Riprapped side drainage
channels were intact and functional. The entire pile has positive drainage and is well
vegetated.
To soil
There was no gullying on the topsoil pile near the treatment ponds. The topsoil stockpile
sign has fallen down, however, and needs to be put back up.
adout
There was no activity at the loadout. There were no signs of erosional problems.
ecords
The mine records are located in the Garfield County Courthouse.
