Oblique aerial photographs
were taken June 11,1997 by Harry Ranney of CDMG. Photos were reviewed by Janet Binns.
Weather conditions appear clear. Puddles on roadways indicate that mine site had recently
received heavy rains. Water in Foidel creek upstream of the mine site is muddy. Water visible in
stock ponds appears muddy. Pond A appears relatively clear. Water in Fish Creek upstream of
mine site is very muddy as well.
Vegetation looks good throughout mine site, as can be determined from scale of photos.
Contour furrows apparent on Mine 2, and Mine 1 area. Less than 20 head of cattle discernable
at crest of Mine 1 . Shrub strip seeding visible at area 41. A bare spot can be determined on the
Mine 1, area 2 area just east of the south end of the refuse area. Unable to determine if this is a
fresh disturbance of topsoil. This location should be verified at next regular on site inspection.
Mine area looks good with no obvious erosional features observable from the air. Steep slopes
show no sign of gullying. Permanent drainages appear to be in good condition.
