III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Minrec letter of May 4, 2001 to CEMG Re: Midterm Review Permit No. C-81-025 w/Revision <br />Application of 5/04/01 <br />Changes to the Permit Application Package need to be posted and extraneous materials <br />withdrawn. In coordination with, and at the request of, Mildred Alsdorf, County Clerk, <br />extraneous materials were removed from the public review file and place in the front of the <br />Available Records file. The CDMG letter of June 13, 2001, was withdrawn. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS All damaged signs had been replaced with the exception of the mine <br />identification sign at the entrance of the road to the Stoney Ridge Air Shaff. This sign still <br />needs to be repaired. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE There was no surface runoff at the site. The site is very dry. There was <br />mine water discharge from both Portal 1 and Portal 3. Flow at the discharge from Pond T-2 <br />was 5 gal/18 seconds, but this is not the mine discharge as the stock tank pump was running <br />and withdrawing water from Pond T-2. Pond P-9 has not been placed on line for mine water <br />discharges.
